Brian D. Lesperance, President, CEO and Director
Mr. Lesperance joined MSM in September of 2005. He was previously the Senior Vice President of Operations and Finance at Endius Inc. (1998-2005) a company serving the minimally invasive spine surgery market. Prior to his employment at Endius Inc., Mr. Lesperance was Vice President of Finance and Administration Operations at Haemonetics Corporation (1992-1998)— a leader in the collection, processing, and salvaging of blood. Prior to this appointment, he has held various positions in Finance and Sales and Marketing-- including Director of North American Field Operations. During thirty-year career, Mr. Lesperance has also held various operations and finance positions at Texas Instruments, in addition to being Division Controller of the Metallurgical Materials Group.
Mr. Lesperance holds a B.S. Business Administration from Bryant College and a MBA from Providence College. (Top)
Robert G. Coffill Jr., Co-founder and Director
Mr. Coffill joined MSMI in April 2000. He was previously the New England Sales Manager at OrthoRehab, Inc— a manufacturer and distributor of continuous passive motion devices. Mr. Coffill also formed and served as CEO of S.M.E. a New York-based staffing company.
Previously, Mr. Coffill enjoyed a twenty-year career in education, serving as a principal and then a Superintendent of Schools in five school districts located in urban, suburban and rural environments. Currently Mr. Coffill is a Professor of Education.
Mr. Coffill holds a BS North Adams State College, a Masters in Education from Salem State College, and a C.A.E.S. from Boston College. (Top)
Ross Fine, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Fine joined MSMI in June of 2006. He brings MSM twenty years of extensive sales, marketing, and strategic planning management experience in the medical device industry. Mr. Fine previously was Vice President of Sales and Product Marketing for Medisystems Corporation-- a privately held medical technology company that manufactures and sells products to the dialysis and apheresis markets. Prior to his employment at Medisystems, Mr. Fine was Vice President of Surgical Sales at Haemonetics Corporation—a leader in collection, processing and salvage of blood. Prior to this appointment, he has held various executive positions in sales and marketing.
Mr. Fine holds a B.S. in Biology from Central Michigan University. (Top)
Kenneth M. Fischer, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Fischer is a Certified Public Accountant and has over 20 years of executive level experience working for global companies. Mr. Fischer most recently acted as an independent consultant— providing financial advisory services to start-ups, a foreign-based company with U.S. operations, and a not-for profit research institution.
Mr. Fischer was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of the North American operations for Lurgi Lentjes, AG. Prior to this appointment, he spent over ten years with Babcock Borsig Capital Corporation (f/k/a Deutsche Babcock), as President and Chief Executive Officer; Vice President, Finance; and Treasurer. At BBCC he led more than half a dozen acquisitions and dispositions, and initiated financial restructuring. Mr. Fischer has also worked for Bruel & Kjaer Instruments, Inc., as Chief Financial Officer and KPMG Peat Marwick as a Manager.
Mr. Fischer earned a BA in Economics from Providence College, an MBA from Babson College, and an MS, Taxation from Bentley College. He also attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is on the Executive, Finance, and Corporate Relations Committees of the Board of Trustees at The Schepens Eye Research Institute, an affiliate of the Harvard Medical School, and a member of the AICPA, MSCPA, and Financial Executives Institute. John Graves, Vice President of Operations
Mr. Graves serves as our Vice President of Operations. He most recently was Vice President of Sales for Haemonetics Corporation, based in Braintree, Massachusetts—a global company engaged in the design, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing of automated blood processing systems. Throughout his ten years with Haemonetics, Mr. Graves held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility within corporate finance, manufacturing, operations, and sales. Previously, Mr. Graves spent seven years at UPS, where he held a number of management positions within finance and accounting.
Mr. Graves earned a BS in Economics-Finance from Bentley College and an MBA from Clark University. (Top)
